How to export your Goodreads data
Step-by-step guide to downloading your Goodreads data export, and what superwrapped turns it into. Your files are parsed and stored in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Step by step
- 1.Sign in: Sign in at goodreads.com. Desktop is simplest, but mobile works too (see the mobile note below).
- 2.Go to Import/Export: Go to My Books then Import and export — under Tools in the left sidebar, or open goodreads.com/review/import directly.
- 3.Export your library: Click Export Library. The export is basically instant. When it's ready, a line of plain teal text appears reading Your export from [date] - [time]. It doesn't look like a button or a typical link, but click that text to download your CSV.
- 4.Upload to superwrapped: Drop the CSV into superwrapped.
The export is quick, with no waiting for an email.
Exporting on mobile
On mobile, tapping the export link often opens the Goodreads app instead of downloading it. If that happens, open the export from inside the app and use its Share option to send yourself the CSV.

Goodreads only sends Your Year in Books at the end of the year, and only if you've logged at least three books. superwrapped turns the same library export into a shareable card any time of year, with no waiting for December.
Upload your Goodreads export and superwrapped surfaces your favourite author, your longest book, your highest rated books, your favourite genre, and your most-read decade.
