Cookie Policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small bits of information a website stores in your browser. We use them to keep superwrapped working and, only if you agree, to understand how people use it.
Separately, superwrapped stores the data you upload in a database inside your own browser so the app can work at all. That storage is not a cookie, never leaves your device, and is not something we can read. Turning analytics off does not affect it.
Your uploaded data is never involved.
The files you upload — from Netflix, Spotify, Strava and others — are processed in your own browser. Accepting cookies does not give us your files, and we never collect or sell them. Cookies only ever cover the categories listed below.
The cookies we use
Remember your cookie choice and keep the site working. These can't be turned off.
Count which features people use — like creating a card or uploading data — so we can fix what's confusing and build what's useful. Never your uploaded files.
What we actually store
The categories above are the choice you make. This is what that choice puts on your device.
| Name | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sw_consent | Your cookie choice, which version of this policy you saw, and when you chose. Set whether you accept or reject. | 365 days, and we ask again after 182 days |
| ph_…_posthog | PostHog’s anonymous ID for your browser, so repeat visits are not counted as new people. Only set if you accept analytics. | 365 days |
| __ph_opt_in_out_…browser storage, not a cookie | PostHog’s own record that you agreed to analytics. Written when you accept. | Removed when you turn analytics off |
| Browser storage | The same consent choice if your browser blocks cookies, and PostHog’s IDs and settings if you accepted analytics. | Until you clear it |
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. . Your choice covers both superwrapped.com and the app, and we will ask again after about six months. To refuse cookies entirely, you can also block them in your browser settings — if you do, we save your choice in browser storage instead, which can only be read by the site that saved it, so you will be asked once on each.
And to say it once more: none of this ever touches the files you upload — those stay in your browser.
